3 These modules will continue to work as they do now but will be moved to a Legacy Products tab in anatomy.tv

4 Our Quizzes & Activities modules use Flash and so will no longer work once Flash is discontinued. These modules will be replaced by a new Quiz module, more details of which can be found in this FAQ below. These current Quizzes & Activities modules will be moved in to a ‘Legacy Quizzes’ tab on anatomy.tv until January.

  • What will happen to the Quizzes & Activities?

We’ll be moving all of our existing Quizzes & Activities into a Legacy Quizzes & Activities tab in the Titles section of anatomy.tv where you will be able to access these modules as normal up until the browsers no longer support Flash. This move is intended to partition away modules that will cease to work due to the incoming changes with the way browsers handle Flash.

  • What will replace the Quizzes & Activities?

Although the Quizzes & Activities can be accessed until the end of December 2020, we’ll be launching a new and improved replacement quiz very soon that is not underpinned by Flash. It is intended to replace all our regional Flash-based quizzes and the Functional Anatomy quiz module. It will be available in a new Quizzing tab in the Titles section of anatomy.tv so it is right at the forefront of your anatomy.tv experience.

  • Why are we changing the Quizzes & Activities?

This change has been prompted by all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari etc) making the decision to discontinue the support of Flash. Flash underpins the current modules found in the Quizzes & Activities tab.

  • When will these changes take place?

We will be updating this FAQ page and the banners on anatomy.tv to let you know when the Quizzes & Activities move into their new Legacy Quizzes & Activities tab and the new replacement quiz is available. Currently we are hoping to make this change before the end of November 2020.

  • What will the replacement quiz be like?

The new module will be called Primal’s 3D Anatomy Quiz. It will be represented as a single module on anatomy.tv, but will contain content covering the entire human body – with a menu in the product allowing you to switch seamlessly between regions, adjust the type of questions, the number of questions etc.

  • What features will be carried over to the new replacement quiz?

We have replicated much of the functionality in our current regional Flash-based quiz modules in a new, intuitive environment – we have also added functionality allowing for the manipulation of the anatomy during the quizzing. We have done this following feedback that our customers want an experience similar to an assessment in a lab environment.

  • What browsers are supported for the new replacement quiz?

All modern browsers will allow access to the new replacement quiz module (including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge). Internet Explorer however, will not be compatible.

  • Can I get access via a tablet or mobile phone?

Tablet and mobile phone access will be supported via the app that we will be launching in the near future. More information on this will follow on this FAQ page and on anatomy.tv.

  • Will we be launching an app?

We understand that getting access on the go is very important to our customers and, with that in mind, we’ll be launching an app in the near future. We will update this FAQ page and anatomy.tv when this app has launched.

  • Will PALMs be affected by this change?

If you subscribe to PALMs there will be no change to the product itself, but we’ll be changing the PALMs tab in the Titles section of anatomy.tv from PALMs to Assessment. We are making this change to ensure consistency around naming conventions of our tabs.

  • What is happening to the Speech & Language Pathology quiz and the Study Guide?

If you have access to either the Speech & Language Pathology quiz module or the Study Guide (both currently found in the Quizzes & Activities tab on anatomy.tv) these will unfortunately cease to function following the adjustment by browsers away from supporting Flash. If you would like more information on this change or how it may affect you, please contact us at [email protected]

  • Where will I be able to get more information on the new replacement quiz?

When we make these changes to anatomy.tv, we will be including a quick start video guide as well as help literature. If you have any specific questions in advance of the launch, please contact us at [email protected]

  • Where can I find more information about the discontinuation of Flash?

We have included a link to the Adobe site here. This should give you additional information on the timeline and reasons for the discontinuation of Flash.

  • Why are we changing the Quizzes & Activities?

This change has been prompted by browser companies making the decision to discontinue the support of Flash. Flash underpins the current modules found in the Quizzes & Activities tab.

  • What is going to happen to the Quizzes & Activities?

We’ll be moving all of our existing Quizzes & Activities into a Legacy Quizzes & Activities tab. These modules will remain accessible until the browsers no longer support Flash (From January 2021).

  • Will this change affect core products such as the Atlas, Functional Anatomy, Anatomy & Physiology (and others)?
